Terms and conditions

Yorkshire Children's Trust Charity Car Raffle 2019 

The raffle will commence on 20th July 2019 and will end on 6th January 2020.  By entering the draw/s, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Rules.

The raffle will be drawn using a random number generator on 7th January 2020 at Yorkshire Children's Trust chairty offices. The winner will be notified by telephone and the winners details will be available on the charity website, www.yctrust.uk/car.


Tickets can be purchased:

*  in-centre at Xscape Yorkshire on specific event dates (see xscapeyorkshire.co.uk for dates)
*  At the Yorkshire Children's Trust shop in Halifax
* Online at cardraw.zaffo.com


Prize details: 1x Peugeot 108 Collection, 5 Door, 1.2 Petrol Engine, nearly new with approximately 700 miles on the clock. The title of the car will be passed to the winner of the raffle at the conclusion of the draw. The winner will be responsible for collection of the vehicle and all ongoing costs such as fuel, insurance, road tax, MOT, repairs and servicing. Prize provided by Motorpoint, Castleford. There is no cash alternative.

Tickets can only be purchased by persons aged 18 or over. Proof of Date of Birth will be required for the winning ticket holder. If the winning ticket does belong to a person under the age of 18 the prize will not be offered under the Motorpoint purchasing terms and conditions and as a result the prize will be redrawn.

Tickets are priced at £1 per ticket. Multiple entries are acceptable, but multiple ticket purchases can not be discounted.  Your chances of winning are variable, depending on how many tickets are sold for the raffle as a whole. Your winning odds are the number of tickets you have purchased divided by the total number of tickets in the draw.

All draw/s entry sales are final. Refunds are at the sole discretion of the Charity and will be payable only where the Charity deems it reasonable, having regard for all the circumstances. All participants acknowledge that their payment of the ticket price does not guarantee that they will win any Prize.

All participants are solely responsible for providing and (where necessary) updating the Charity with their accurate and up-to-date contact details and the Charity will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any participant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the participant has provided.

No person involved with the competition, or their associated businesses, may purchase a ticket this includes staff and immediate family members of Yorkshire Children's Trust, Xscape Yorkshire and Motorpoint group.

The winning ticket holder agrees to take part in publicity associated with the promotion of this event.

All proceeds will be donated to Yorkshire Children’s Trust (registered charity number 1146884). Any late entries will be treated as donations.

This raffle complies with Gambling Commission Rules and is licensed under the Small Lotteries Scheme with Calderdale Council, License number SL0446.

Participant contact details will be shared with Motorpoint Castleford and Xscape Yorkshire when the participant chooses to opt in.

The Society reserves the right to:
*  disqualify or decline to accept the entry of any participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any of these terms or otherwise acted fraudulently;
*  terminate or suspend the draw/s for reasons beyond its reasonable control

In the event of any dispute regarding the draw/s/s, if the dispute cannot be resolved by the parties, it will be referred to an independent third party. Please refer to the Social Responsibility Policy at website address.

The Laws of England and Wales shall govern the interpretation and/or enforcement of these Rules. The Society and all participants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
